Damn you Gimp!!!1

I thought i rided myself of this freeware but it got its revenge on me today. After removing all of the programs needed to run it and installing nice happy happy adobe replacements, today Gimp has got its revenge on me. All of my images are in Gimp format [xcf] which nothing else willl even touch. So [grugingly] i just reinstalled The Gimp -_-;; and what did it force the computer to do? Open almost all image type files in gimp /cry... now i gotta change all that crap again!!! DAMN YOU GIMP DAMN YOU!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!11

I have finally got the authorization to buy Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator from my office. This day will go down in history. No more ill timed lock-ups or furustrating tools. Goodbye The Gimp!!! Freeware can't beat Photoshop. [happy sigh]

so yesterday monday a UPS van pulls up and says he's here for 2 packages from me. umm ok... i could guess its for the dell ones but where the hell is the warning. he said he'll come back tomorrow to get them. before he left i checked out the tags he was to put on them. the company listed as the receiver was like micro system solutions or something nothing about dell or anything. well its great that they are doing all this but it could be a bit smoother of a transaction if they tried.


on another note i also got one of my new moousepads its a cool copper color and its slipppppppery! made which a teflon coating this pad is a HUGE improvement over my last mousepad, which was actually a notebook :P if anyone is looking for a good mousepad thats cheap and isn't full of advertisement hype and huge price markups try looking here

they are a company out of Illinios specializing in plastics, rubbers, and syntetic stuff for industrial use. the one i got is a 16x10 gen5 with the 1/8"rubber mat. the shipping is resonable since they use usps priority for the hawaii ppl and they shipped it same day which is nice. so if you are looking for a mousepad that is for performance check them out and don't forget to buy some teflon buttons too.

oh and i'm happy to announce that i found that stupid song i've been looking for for a while now. i htink this search is ranked right up there with the ninja movie for JB. for those that are interested its by Rise Against called Swing Life Away[sample it on itunes]

Wow it's been a while...

sorry the posting gap of about a month but i guess after my vacation to japan and the jetlag when i got back, the blog has totally slipped my mind. so sorry!!!

well to sum up the trip to japan:
it was hot
soo sooooo hot
5 minutes out of air conditioning and you are already sticking to your clothes
brought back a whole variety of cool stuff from a happi coat to a cool small casio digital camera
we got around ok
they need more trash cans around... but when you find one there needs to be less of them. is this combustable or not[holding a cup] :P
subways and the fact that i didn't need to drive roxorz[think:rocks]!!!
it was hot hot hoooottttt for 10 days of the 12 we were there, of the other 2, 1 rained and the other poured.
it was a great trip!!
would i do it again? hell yes! when are we going back???

pictures? yup we have some... about 1000 of them sooo we are still trying to figure out the logistics of displaying them.

back home...
umm not much to mention i did get an SD card for the digi cam and an MP3 player to entice me to go running more. i also bought a cast-iron griddle/grill, and grill press and some mouse pad material. /cheer [think:cheering]

dell i must say did a great job in making me happy when i discovered the MP3 player i just got in the mail was broken. i called them up and they express shipped a replacement which i got 2 days later. nice.



its not the smallest, or the lightest, or has the biggest capacity, or the coolest looking but it was cheap[$70 from dell], the sound quality is better then alot, its simple to use[no cord to loose, dragndrop songs], and can be used out of rnge of a computer [runs on a AAA battery so no USB rechargable LI-ION battery to die on me YAY] why not buy an ipod shuffle, you ask? well i was planning to but i didn't want to be one of the herd[moo!], it has no screen, it was more expensive[i love spending more money then i need to].

in other news:
i have an interview tomorrow for a position with benefits YAY!!! doctor dentist here i come :P hope i get the job! [crosses fingers][EDIT:just had the interview... i'm not very good at interviews. "What would you do if a client want one thing and the superviser wants it different? "What if what the supervisor tells you something that you feel is wrong?" UGH, i don't like interviews]
